Since 1999, Kennedy Nolan has developed a reputation as a design-focused practice with a distinct approach to built form.
As practitioners, we’re dedicated to producing architecture that’s highly responsive to its context and forms a strong relationship with landscape.
We pride ourselves on an innovative approach to public and residential projects. We deliver a highly responsive design sensitive to its context that incorporates sustainable design initiatives while achieving the requirements of our brief.

We are in the process of developing an Indigenous engagement strategy, as we are committed to overcoming the gap between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous Australians.

The strategy will define a methodology for engaging the Indigenous community for all projects – beginning with the local Indigenous community of the land we are working on – early in the design process to discuss the site and its history.

We are now carbon neutral in operation!

The work of our practice is generated through an investigation of how people want to live, work and learn.

The test of our work is whether it results in people being inspired, fully realised and happy. To make design that accomplishes this, the practice has focused on building a team with shared values, respect and affection for each other.

Our team has developed a common understanding of the necessity of sustainability. Together, we are searching for ways to positively impact the environment through our workplace decision-making. This thinking informs our design approach, too.

Han Wu

Graduate of Architecture

Han recently joined Kennedy Nolan at the start of 2023. Having previously worked at Breathe Architecture, Han has gained a wide range of experience across single, multi-residential and commercial projects focusing on sustainability and design through various stages of project development.

Han is highly efficient and exceptionally skilled at crafting and communicating through 3D visualisations and animations.
