Patrick Kennedy is a founding partner of Kennedy Nolan. He helped establish and continues to lead the practice’s distinctive design direction. He has great interest in design detail, materiality, the evocative nature of form and the creation of contemporary architecture in the context of historical styles. His involvement in projects continues throughout the phases to ensure these qualities conceived in the early phases are executed in the built work. He has been closely involved with maintaining the steady growth of Kennedy Nolan over nearly twenty years to be a stable, established, award winning medium sized practice.
Patrick has delivered a number of public lectures on design around Australia and has taught in the Masters program at the University of Melbourne. He has been a juror for the Australian Institute of Architects and other deign competitions. Patrick has provided design advice to the City of Boroondara, taught Planning on behalf of the AIA to registering Architects, helped establish a subject in Heritage Architecture at the University of Melbourne, been a member of the Continuing Education committee at the Australian Institute of Architects and most recently was appointed a founding member of The Boyd Circle.
