Rachel Nolan is a founding director of Kennedy Nolan with expertise in creating built environments that are inspiring and responsive to the brief, context and environment. Fascinated by both the material and the immaterial, Rachel is both conceptually driven and pragmatic, focused on creating enduring places that support a life well lived. Known for her evocative drawings, Rachel is an exceptional verbal and visual communicator who ensures design clarity from project inception to completion.

With 25 years experience in practice, Rachel is interested in contributing more broadly to the architecture profession through lectures, teaching, mentoring and collaborative opportunities. Rachel has delivered a number of public lectures on around Australia, and has run a Master’s Studio at the University of Melbourne. She is currently the Chair of the University of Melbourne Architecture Advisory Board, she is a founding member of The Boyd Circle and has served the AIA as a lecturer, juror for the Victorian Chapter Awards and member of the AIA Honours Committee.
