Appointed Director of Architecture in 2018, Susan has been working with Kennedy Nolan since 2007. Heading up the institutional wing of the practice, her expertise lies in working with complex clients, environmental and heritage requirements to achieve economical, high-quality outcomes. With extensive experience across a range of educational and public projects, Susan is passionate about listening carefully, solving problems, and adding value beyond the stated brief.
Susan project manages teams, directs design, feasibility submissions, and documentation. Calm, measured and attentive, she loves working collaboratively and is committed to a consultative design process. As a project coordinator she is organised, efficient and focused, skilled at liaising with clients, stakeholders and project managers to achieve high quality outcomes ensuring projects meet client aspirations and are completed on time and within budget.
Susan is an all-rounder and thrives on the variety of architecture. Her broad range of experience includes work for Housing Choices Australia, school and childcare projects, masterplans, and mixed-use developments. She works on submissions, OH&S, quality assurance within the practice. In 2023, She was a jury member for the AIA Victorian Awards.
