Yau Nga is a Project Architect with experience in institutional, commercial, and multi-residential projects. She is an adaptable all-rounder who works on all phases of project development from design, client and consultant liaison to project delivery. Clients and colleagues appreciate Yau Nga’s calm positivity and drive to achieve a great outcome for all concerned.
Yau Nga is passionate about school projects with more than a decade’s experience in educational design. Schools interest her as each project is bespoke and embraces diverse typologies; from specialist classrooms, to informal nooks, to community hubs. She has also worked for Housing Choices Australia, and workplace and retail tenancy fit outs.
Outside the office, Yau Nga has worked closely with the remote indigenous community, Wakathuni, and Gumala Aboriginal Corporation in Pilbara, Western Australia, to design and build an Early Learning Centre for their growing pre-school population.
Committed to sharing her knowledge, Yau Nga is an active mentor and tutors at Newman College in architecture and construction. She is the recipient of the Learning Environments Australasia’s Mayfield Project 2023 where she researched justice, equity, diversity and inclusion in school designs and planning.
